Rat King is a fictional documentary about the growing prevalence of AI in media, society, and politics.
Rat King is meant to be a cautionary tale of the growing integration of AI into the daily lives of average people, and its potential pitfalls. It attempts to shed light on the path of ignorant self-immolation that humanity eagerly walks, and to shed light on the approaching infinite cognitive force that is The Singularity. When I made this back in 2019, it seemed a little more out of reach. We are now feeling the effects of AI in ways I could have never predicted before.

Concept
The Rat King title sequence hopes to overwhelm the viewer with imagery in a surgical manner. As images fly by, the viewer is given the impression that it is being unpacked and analyzed by some sort of computational force - An AI.
As the AI learns, the tension rises to a peak and ends with the AI making a decision to create a better world, the means of which are never revealed.
