MODULARITY
The Nuchu Logo, as well as its cast of fruity characters, use a modular system in which the eyes and/or mouth can be replaced to create different facial expressions depending on the mood of the fruit flavors within each box.
CHARACTER
The Nuchu logo and characters were inspired by the expressive and abstract quality of faces in cartoons and anime. The chibi chewing face has traditionally represented the happiness that comes from chewing with cheeks full of treats. Eyes being another especially expressive trait create the various tones and feelings one would experience when eating certain fruits.
